We have POWER

The electrical was installed on May 27th. We took the kids out last night on the 29th and the electrical inspection had passed as well as the HVAC inspection. The framing and plumbing have been held up a few days because of a couple of nicks and notches that were made in 3 floor joists by some novice plumbers while they were cutting through the sub floor for tub drains. Even though the damage is minimal, the engineer had to come out and they are awaiting his report on what they need to do to fix the integrity of the joists. Hopefully they will get that done in a day or two and get back on track with insulation and drywall.

They fixed the Kitchen island wall and cut it down to the right height!!  Now we will get our flat island!

All the HVAC is ducted to the ceilings (no registers on the floor).  This is the Kitchen vent.

Furnace is actually in the attic and is all wrapped in insulation, plastic and then taped up.

Plumbing Has Begun

The bathtubs are all the way in and the plumbing has been started. Now we wait over the long weekend for more progress. We have a pre-drywall walk through with the supervisor on Tuesday afternoon. The HVAC and plumbing should be going on Tuesday, and electrical should start on Wednesday.  They are flying!

The framers finished today.  We went out twice because the first time we went they were still working. They will have to come back and fix a couple of things they framed in wrong. It wasn't their fault. The supervisor didn't pass along the notes from our pre-construction meeting. The island should be flat and they framed for a raised bar, and our master closet should be framed for a door and not an open arch. The floors are drying, but they will need some sanding after all that water.

We have STAIRS!

May 20th

We have Stairs! and a roof! It rained so much I'm glad the roof is on, but there is a lot of water on the floors. The next pictures are pretty dark because we couldn't go out during prime hours. We had to work around concerts and such.
