More Finishing touches

23 July 2015

More finishing touches were completed today.  Fences from each side of the house was started.  Blinds were mostly installed and the trim around the counters were stained to match the cabinets.  Very happy with the progress and just a few more big things to be completed.  Hopefully they are completed today.

South side of the house - the gate to the back yard will be here.

North side of the house
Blinds! - we like our privacy too.

Back of house.  We will be doing curtains to cover the slider.
East side of Kitchen - pretty much done now - just missing the Refrigerator

Kitchen island

North side of kitchen with stove and microwave.

other side of island with dishwasher.
Instead of painting the railing they stained it to match the cabinets.  I like it - will hide dirt.

Finishing touches started

22 July 2015

The interior went through the first cleaning and walk through by the construction supervisor and the quality assurance guy.  Blue tape everywhere pointing out places that need touch-ups/fixes.  Some of the final items needing installed were also done today, like mirrors and vents.

See the floors aren't pink!

All the vents are in

Master bath mirror - oops already a light out!

Hall bath mirror.  Girls love it as it's 60 inches of mirror.

Stove and microwave

This water heater is a Monster! 75 gallons.

The Exterior was painted today and they also installed the carpet.  Finally no more raw wood floors showing!!  We were very happy to see the exterior paint color, especially after picking it out from a 2 in x 2 in sample square!

Tack Strips are Pokie

20 July 2015

On our grocery shopping trip today we had to stop by the house to see what progressed today.  Wow, they were busy.  See the pictures for what was done.  (Besides what is pictured - they also finished the install of all of the baseboards.)

Floor pan in the Laundry room.  Since the Laundry is upstairs, we thought it was wise to have this just in case the washer leaked.

One of the Thermostats.  We had dual zones put in, One for upstairs and one for downstairs.

The rods were installed in the closets - so much space.

Stove and Microwave installed!

Pedestal sink in the half bath down stairs

Kitchen sink and Faucet.  Now I can't say everything but the Kitchen sink was installed.  :)

All the carpet tack strips were installed - don't step on them or it will hurt!

The essential toilets!

Rods in one of the closets.

Vents for the heating and A/C

Tack strip and closet rod in the Master Closet - oops they missed putting the heating vent up.
Stair hand rail too!

Counter tops and sinks

18 July 2015

On the 17th, the family stopped by the house on their way to pick me up from Rexburg, but there were tradesmen all over the place so they couldn't go in. They could tell from the outside that the brick work was started, but we would have to wait until Saturday to see the inside.

We drove straight to the house from Rexburg. I was anxious to see all the changes after 10 days of being away. I wasn't disappointed!
